Even when I was barely able to write, I made my first "books"—with self-drawn pictures and short stories, as gifts for my parents. This early joy in storytelling has stayed with me to this day.

My name is Sophia Brucklacher , I was born in Stuttgart , studied history in Hamburg and now live between Ibiza and Normandy – where nature, creativity and stories are at home.

I once took over the small bookstore Libro Azul in Ibiza – a place full of magic, books, and encounters. Today, I write children's books, develop creative concepts, and put my heart and soul into creating what I like to call "my colorful reality."

A central project is the KIO House of Kids – a sustainable, imaginative kids club that I am helping to design as a change agent for the 7Pines Resorts in Ibiza & Sardinia as well as Roxburghe Castle in Scotland .
KIO – the little big seahorse – is not just a mascot, but a beloved character. The books about the character were created together with my longtime friend and illustrator Jan Anderson and combine creativity, closeness to nature, and courage.

Additionally, I am part of the core team of the environmental organization “Creatives For The Planet” .
We operate worldwide – with a special focus on Ibiza – and are committed to education, direct action, and creative approaches to protecting our environment.
Art is our tool. Consciousness is our goal.
Our motto:
“Start where you are, use what you have, do what you can.”

For me, this commitment is a natural extension of my creative work – and a matter close to my heart.

I believe in stories that transform . In imagination that knows no bounds . And in life as a path that can be dreamed of – until it becomes reality .
